What is the TEF Certificate?

Administered by the Chambre de commerce et d'industrie Paris Île-de-France (CCIP), the TEF is an internationally recognized French language proficiency test. It evaluates an individual's listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills.

Depending upon the candidate's goals, various variations of the test are needed:

• TEF Québec (TEFQ): Designed for those using for irreversible migration to Quebec.
• TEF Intérieur/ Carte de Résident: Used for people seeking French nationality or residency in France.
